Our mission
Making mission-critical autonomy possible
Emergence was build on a single belief: the defining challenge of this moment in computing is not capability, it’s control. Autonomous systems are becoming powerful enough to act at the speed of modern enterprise. But what’s missing is the critical infrastructure to ensure they act within verified bounds.
This is the problem Emergence exists to solve. Not autonomy for its own sake, but verified autonomy.
Who we are
Our team’s careers span the foundational layers of modern computing: semiconductors, compilers, symbolic reasoning, formal methods, deep learning and natural language processing, distributed systems, and enterprise-scale AI. Our lineage runs through IBM Research, Allen Institute of AI, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Broadcom, and other leading institutions including MIT, Caltech, Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, EPFL and Carnegie Mellon University.
We have extended Moore’s Law, designed chips and servers that run 80% of the worlds financial transactions, built early expert systems, scaled Watson into reasoning and tutoring systems, built Alexa, deployed AI at Microsoft at scale, and brought voice-enabled multi-agent systems into more than 10,000 classrooms.
We’ve built foundational systems before. And now we’re doing it again for agentic AI.

The emergence of
Emergence
From solving equations with language models to building the verified runtime for autonomous enterprise systems, every step has been deliberate, foundational, and pointed toward one goal - advancing the science of safe, deterministic agents for the world’s most complex industries.
2023-2024
Math, visualized by language
Emergence made a significant advancement in workflow automation through an agent that controls tools such as math solvers and graphing calculators to create complex mathematical visualizations based on natural language instructions.
MAY 2024
Agent-E takes control
Emergence released Agent-E, a robust web control agent, which becomes best in class, beating existing state of the art by 10-30% on established benchmarks and receiving mentions from leaders across the agentic AI field.
DECEMBER 2024
Orchestrating the future
Emergence released the Orchestrator, its flagship product empowering enterprises to manage and coordinate multiple autonomous agents at run-time across different domains.
MARCH 2025
Agents that build other agents
Emergence unveiled agents creating agents, a no code, natural language, AI-powered multi-agent builder that represents the next step into the agentic frontier.
